Review: Nothing Ear (Stick)

The recently arrived Nothing brand has attracted a lot of attention with its selection of headphones and smartphones. The new wireless earphones, known as the Nothing Ear Stick, are the third product released by the technology giant. The earphones have an impressive style that has become the brand's signature.  After using the device for a week, we find out what the latest Nothing Ear Stick has to offer.

Design & Comfort

The first thing that caught my eye was its tubular charging case. The new Nothing Ear Stick comes with an intriguing design in a lipstick-inspired tubular charging case. To open and close the tubular case, you can rotate it endlessly in any direction. But if you forget to close the case properly, it can accumulate dust.

For me, they are comfortable, because they seem to be about the same size as the AirPods. The earbuds fit intrusively into the ear canal. Ergonomically shaped, Nothing Ear (stick) doesn't weigh much, with only 4.4 g per earbud, so it can be worn effortlessly all day long.

Sound quality & Call quality

Listening to Ammy Virk's latest song 'Chann Sitaare', I felt that the sound quality, the bass, the mids, the highs, everything was satisfactory in a quiet room. we also noticed that the sound was too sharp compared to boAt and Apple airpods.

Call quality was more or less satisfactory, as the device has a decent microphone. However, if you are in clamorous places, you will have to struggle a bit to get the clarity of your voice.

Connectivity &  Battery

The connection was quite stable, apart from a few small pauses while playing music. The connectivity performance of the Ear Stick was mostly good.  As for the battery life, it is quite close to the officially stated battery life. The ear sticks ran for over six hours. The company stated that they can last up to 7 hours. The tech giant also promised 2 hours of playback after a 10-minute charge.

Conclusion

Although the half-in-ear design looks a bit dated, the new Nothing Ear Stick can be a smart purchase if you are fascinated by its elegant look, especially the lipstick-inspired tubular charging case. The device has good audio and calling qualities, reliable battery life and a reliable software experience. All in all, a decent product.
