New Google Pixel Fold leaked

While many Android fans may have already upgraded to the recent Pixel 7 series smartphones, tech enthusiasts looking for a cool new form factor have probably had their rumoured Google Pixel Fold should have had their eyes on it. The latest leaks have now provided a lot of important information about the price, release date and overall design of Google's first foldable smartphone, which is being developed under the self-explanatory codename 'Passport'. This is the one of the New Google Pixel Fold leaked.

Jon Prosser, host of the popular YouTube channel Front Page Tech, posted a video containing numerous high-quality images of the Google Pixel Fold. The leaker very confidently claims that the metal and glass design shown in these images actually shows the final design of the search giant's next foldable. If he is correct, the phone will be released in only two color variants - black and white. He further claims that the official release date of the Google Pixel Fold is scheduled for May 2023 and the official list price in the US will be set at USD 1,799.

Overall, the design of the Google Pixel Fold seems to be quite reminiscent of Samsung's Galaxy Fold 4, although the top and bottom bezels are much more pronounced than on the Korean competitor. Thus, only the outer secondary display has a hole in the center, presumably for the 9.5-megapixel selfie camera.

Finally, the triple camera on the back is embedded in a visor-like protrusion, clearly following the unique design language of the Pixel 7 Pro. The fingerprint sensor is expected to be integrated into the power button on the side, and the Google Pixel Fold will have speakers on both the bottom and top. Prosser's rumours seem very plausible, but they still need to be taken with a pinch of salt.
