Apple's next Budget Phone could have a completely New iPhone SE 4 Screen

The first renders of Apple's iPhone SE (fourth generation) have been leaked courtesy of the reliable Jon Prosser. These renders show a device reminiscent of the now discontinued but immensely popular iPhone XR, with the company moving away from the small iPhone to a more standard size. According to other reports, Apple's next iPhone SE is expected to debut in 2024. Apple's iPhone SE has often used the chassis of older iPhones. The first SE closely resembled the iPhone 5, while the 2020 and 2022 iPhone SEs had the design of the iPhone 8. Now Apple is reportedly switching to more modern iPhones, removing the home button and introducing the notch.

While the notch design of the iPhone initially evoked dissenting opinions, it has morphed into something immediately recognizable as Apple. The full-screen design is also more modern and useful for media consumption and productivity. Although the SE seemed to be the company's typical small phone, Apple always planned to make the phone bigger; it was only a matter of time.

While Prosser's track record may be somewhat sporadic, this report is in line with other sources, including Ross Young, an analyst at Display Supply Chain Consultants, and Ming-Chi Kuo, who claim that the display of the upcoming iPhone SE will be 6.1 inches. It is unclear what the internal components will be, although it is likely that Apple will equip the device with the same as the non-procedural iPhone 14, based on earlier versions of the SE. So we can expect an A15 processor, 4GB of RAM, a 12-megapixel camera and a moderately large battery.

In terms of release date, Apple's iPhone SE cannot be accused of a predictable timetable. The first SE appeared four years before the second; the third came only two years later. Analysts estimate this SE at 2024, but plans can always change in the meantime.
